C&C used to stand for Cybergrape & Cambouisfr - or was it the other way around?

Feel free to clone, copy, recolor or redistribute our files. If you are a pay site you may post them in your "free section" as long as credit is given to the authors and the readme file accompanies them in its' entirety, otherwise please contact us. If you are a free site you may post these files as long as credit is given to the authors and the ReadMe.txt is included for download. There is no time limit or other restrictions additional to those stated above. This is our way of saying thank you to the Sims community for all the camaraderie, the patience of those who have taught us various hacking skills both personally and through some wonderfully put together tutorials and the support from fellow hackers who gallantly came to the rescue when we found ourselves "stuck" along the way. THANK YOU ALL! May our efforts bring you laughter and fun, and may others, thanks to our files being used as base objects, bring you even MORE FUN!.

Hacking: Will Wright had a dream that anyone would be able to customize the game to their heart’s content. Unfortunately, the valuable Edith tool was blocked from release. Fortunately, a certain programming genius, created various other tools for us to partly achieve Will Wright’s vision of the game. All of our objects are made with “Iff Pencil 2”, made by the brilliant Tom van Dijk - Mazelord2000. We don't see hacking as a mean of cheating but rather of changing the game. We are correcting a lack of fun in the program and we are making toys for others to enjoy. Powerful cheat objects become boring very quickly because they remove the challenge of the game. Our goal is to find a good balance between fun and challenge. The nicest thing anyone can say to us is that they had fun with the items we made. If the world is a little nicer, gentler, more fun in the least of ways and in the least of places it is a good thing and we are happy to have had a part in it.

Liability: Both of us have a work history in civil and military aviation. Through our experience we have both developed the habit of constantly rechecking our work. Safety is no joke and no accident. Our items have been tested extensively and are fully functional on our systems (both run under Windows XP). There could be other platforms and Windows versions our items won’t work with and we currently have no way of predicting that. When you download these game files it is entirely at your own risk. If your system experiences crashes or other problems after download simply delete the items. Quite scary, but it had to be mentioned as a standard statement! All of our items are scanned by our Anti-Virus program at various stages before they are posted on our web site.

We both have all expansion packs (EPs) installed - Deluxe not being considered as one but as a compilation of the original Sims and LL. We have only cloned Maxis original items, but with some EPs, some changes could have been made to them and therefore no longer work with only the original expansion pack they were issued with. We have no way to check on that, so we apologize in advance if the items don't work with your EPs if you don't have the complete set. Superstar objects have an orange logo to call your attention, the other items have been issued with all EPs except Superstar.

Some items here are what are commonly call "patches" these files DO NOT modify the "Sim.exe" file. Whenever a new expansion pack is added to your game, we advise that you FIRST remove all patches and modified global files. Place these files outside of the Maxis directory before you add your new EP. Some of the patches may interfere with new game features. As soon as we know if they can still be used, or need updating, we will post the notifications on this web site.

All of the above having been said, let's have fun now!
